berries, mmm.
In celebration of May Day and the warm sunshine, I have gone fruit-crazy. It helps that delicacies like blackberries and mangoes are on sale, but I would splurge for the fresh seasonal fruits either way.
Decadent desserts seem too heavy when the sun really starts to shine in May, and the color of these berries give anyone reason to eat a healthy dessert.
Drink your herbs
As if I needed more reason to drink wine. Research Scientists in Egypt have found definitive traces of herbs in wine jars. One jar in particular dates back to 3150 b.c. and includes traces of balm, coriander, mint, and sage. No one is certain of the reasoning behind the herb steeped wine, but a possible conclusion? Medicine.
I broke the cork.
Mmm, Wine.

This lovely red comes from the region of Languedoc-Roussillion, an area which spans the Mediterranean coastline from the French border with Spain to the region of Provence. I hope to go here soon, so I am looking at a few chateaux to buy before my arrival.
OM GARDEN
Miami is warming up, the sun is out, the water is blue and I am feeling swim season breathing down my neck. In lieu of the sunshine and skin in this lovely city, I have been scouting healthier places to eat. Partly due to an overkill of greasy calamari and partly due to wanting to actually fit my swim bottoms.
bulldogs, Mexico, and excuses
Holy Hell! I cannot imagine why anyone would read me, but you still come back for more. I have not posted since the 24th of February, a disgusting fact.
I always have wonderful excuses...
-OBAMA MAMA gave all my money away and I can't afford wine
-the internet was shaky in Mexico.
-the crazy cab driver ran over my MAC
fasting??
The Miami Herald did a story in their
Tropical Life section today on Fasting. That is right....fasting. Now don't go blogging and emailing hate letters to them on how damaging this is for the metabolism, because there is light at the end of their starving tunnel.
