Yes it's true, I long to live in Santa Fe like I long to drink wine and it truly be healthy. Calorie free, no sugar, good for the heart and cancer preventative-WINE.
With that same strength I desire a more aesthetically pleasing place to lay my head.
Phew.
That being said, I am hell-bent on you trying GRUET.
I realize Gruet vineyards are in Albuquerque and I could very well be partial to the area, but it is truly not my reason for loving this bubbly.
I am a whore to Champagne. Cava. Prosecco. Sparkling American Wines.
It goes without saying that I like a nice price, and if you bring together great taste, quality, price....you get value. Right? Well that friends is Gruet Brut.
I love this stuff, not like I want to inject it into my veins though, the taste is too clean, crisp, and downright creamy to ever miss the lips. Wouldn't miss it...straight to the lips.
Run to your nearest shop and request Gruet Brut, the price is in the $15 figure no matter your part of the country.
In fact, I just found out that Dallas has some mean alcohol prices due to lobbyists and distributors. Makes sense.
So I probably pay more than the rest of the country.
I should really just move to New Mexico, that way I can drive to Gruet Vineyards and buy the bubbly on premise.
Happy Drinking.
